Christmas officially starts in Bridgend on Saturday 23rd November with the Christmas Lights Switch-On Event organised by Bridgend Town Council. The festive fun starts at 1.30pm when the Elf School will open – come as yourself, leave as an elf! Bridge FM’s Phil Hoyles and local entertainer Zack Franks will host the Entertainment Stage featuring the Snow Sisters from Glass Slipper Events, Oldcastle School Choir, Performers from Bridgend Youth Theatre, SPARK! Drummers and the ever-popular Rock Choir. There will be photo opportunities in two Giant Snow Globes, free Eleri’s Welshcakes and Christmas themed side stalls. Also look out for The Grinch who will be causing mischief around the town centre. The parade, led by SPARK! Drummers, will leave Carnegie House at 4.30pm - see Santa, the Grinch, illuminated presents and naughty elves make their way to the tree for the big switch on at 5pm! All activities are FREE so visit Bridgend Town Centre from 1.30pm on Saturday 23rd November to enjoy all the fun.

The annual illuminated Tractor run takes place on Saturday 14th of December. The tractors are magnifically decorated in Christmas lights and decorations. They drive a set route around the County, (route can be found on line)starting at Parc Slip, then travelling through Bridgend, Porthcawl, and surrounding areas. This event is not to be missed.
