Newton is the most easterly beach at Porthcawl and is a ten minute walk from the picturesque village of Newton.
The most westerly pair of Porthcawl’s bays and beaches, Pink Bay and Sker may not be as accessible as the more easterly beaches, but they’re quieter and unspoilt because of it.
The museum has a great many collections on offer, including the 49th Reconnaisance Regiment formed in 1941, Samtampa Disaster 1947, Railways, The Great War exhibition, archaeological finds and records from local churches.

The Hi-Tide would like to invite you to their Free fireworks display, in Porthcawl on Saturday 2nd November 2024. The fire works display will start at 19.30hrs. The fireworks display is to celebrate Guy Fawkes night, although it is taking place a couple of days early. The Hi-Tide would like you to join them in celebrating this evening, by enjoying a nice cold or warm drink and good food at the Hi-Tide, eating chips form the many excellent fish and chip shops in Porthcawl or a fabulous ice cream from the numerous parlours around the town.
