Rest Bay Watersports Centre

It’s a really great location to learn at. The centre overlooks the beautiful, clean waters of Rest Bay, a blue flag beach, and Porthcawl is one of Britain’s fastest growing surf destinations. Perhaps that’s because it’s a convenient three hour trip from London. That makes it the closest, most consistent watersports destination to the UK capital, and it’s less than an hour from Cardiff. Indeed, this state-of-the-art centre is the Welsh Coast Surf Club’s home.

There’s lots more interesting things to see and do here too. There are courses for environmental education and ocean literacy, with outdoor learning. Also if you’re keen to help the environment, the centre is a hub for beach cleaning events.
