Porthcawl Buckaneers Annual Summer Festival (Saturday 21st July)
A fantastic, FREE family-friendly summer carnival with a procession of Year by the Sea themed floats and walkers through the centre of Porthcawl. Porthcawl Buckaneers Carnival is planned to be a colourful and interesting event, and the procession will be led by Porthcawl (Museum) Suffragette Float circa Porthcawl 1918. They are accompanied by street entertainers which include a galleon ship and seahorses!
This year's stand out attraction will undoubtedly be Lobster à la Carte, giant red lobsters that have been a huge hit with audiences up and down the country - the inflatable lobsters truly are a sight to behold! Look out for them taking part in the walkabout performance itself with another two stationed at pop up locations in Porthcawl.

RNLI RescueFest (Sunday 22nd July)

This event includes rescue displays by lifeboats, helicopter and other emergency services. The lifeboat station will be open to the public throughout the day and there will also be a series of displays from emergency services and other organisations.
There will be numerous games and activities going on throughout the day including MASSIVE BATTLESHIPS, a super-sized team version of the classic guessing game played out across public spaces! Using binoculars, flags and flashcards to signal spectacular hits and unlucky misses hundreds of yards apart, it will be all hands on deck to sink the enemy's fleet before they sink yours!
