Bridgend County invites all ages to join its selection of seaside events this month, as the Porthcawl Seascape Events and PromenArt Programme continues throughout August. Make a weekend of it and book into our laid back campsites, luxury hotels and self catered stays. Mermaidens on the prom with Kitsch n Sync, 4th August
Back by popular demand, everybody's favourite Mermaidens will once again be roaming the promenade this Saturday. Kitsch n Sync's wildly creative and interactive performance will be taking place from 10am - 4pm and is set to be brimming with all the colour and comedy you could imagine.

Wales v England International Lifesaving Test match, 4th August
Don't miss the best of the UK's surf lifesaving teams battle it out in the water in the ultimate surf lifesaving competition. Wales will compete against England in this mighty test match, set to be gruelling from start to finish.Saturday 4th August
Inside The Whale: Drastic Plastic, 13th - 15th August
Look out for a giant inflatable sperm whale coming to Porthcawl between 13th and 15th August. Visitors will have the chance to squeeze through his giant belly and learn about the impact our plastic waste is having on the ocean through an immersive performance not to be missed. Want to know more?

Round the Bay Swim, 19th August
Don't miss the annual Round the Bay swim this month, where brave competitors will take the daring dip to prove their abilities in the open water. This fun and competitive swim will begin at the Porthcawl RNLI Lifeboat station before taking swimmers around the bay before finishing at Rest Bay. After an early start why not enjoy a hearty breakfast in one of Porthcawl's many cosy cafes and seaview spots.

Cruistopia! By Kitsch n Sync

If you can't make the Mermaidens performance on the 4th, panic not! Our favourite Kitsch n Sync trio will be back in Porthcawl for more seaside fun, laughter and creative performance on the 19th, with the wildly wonderful Cruistopia. They'll be roaming the prom between 10am and 4pm with unmissable performance sets throughout the day.
